I trained with ProDoula in Spring 2017 as a Birth and Labor Doula, and a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula.
In Fall 2015 I received my Certification to be a Lactation Counselor, so I can confidently provide breastfeeding support.
I graduated from The University of Connecticut with a degree in Nutrition in May 2016. From there I started working with Connecticut WIC where it became glaringly obvious that just providing information isn’t enough. Sure I was able to offer support but not to the degree these women and families needed. I learned about the term “Doula” from the show Bones and I immediately took an interest in it.
Fast forward to today, I am a pre-certified Doula and I am here to help you in whatever way you may need in a way that works best for you!
